"Account lacks permissions" MAC software error

If you receive the following error message "Account lacks permissions. Use an admin account to run this software"

You will have to manually add the current user's account to the Sharing & Permissions list, set privilege to Read & Write, and apply to enclosed items.

In order to do this, please do the following:

1. On your MAC select “Finder” 
2. Select “Applications” on the left and locate “EXStar”
3. Then you will right click and select “Show Package Contents"                           
4. Next, right click on “Read only” and select “Read & Write” 
5. Click on the circular icon with the 3 dots and select “Apply to enclosed items…”  
6. Click "OK"
   
7. If your settings are locked, click the lock icon to enable changes
